Loved this book! The plot twist was honestly surprising (very rare these days to find in a book). Would recommend this book to anyone wanting a solid mystery to read.

I usually don't go for espionage and thrillers, but this was a very fun read. Highly recommended if you are home on a rainy day and want to be entertained, which is exactly the scenario I was in when I burned my way through this in one afternoon. Couldn't put it down.
I really enjoyed this book. This author has a way with words that makes her stand out in the vast sea of thriller writers. Most anyone can write an action/adventure thriller-type novel, but Erika Mitchell takes the genre to a whole new level with her refined literary prowess. Despite the ugliness of the subject matter (terrorism, kidnapping, etc.), the author finds a way to tell the story exquisitely. Well done!
When reading a book like this, it is easy to overlook character development. At its heart, this is an espionage novel. But, it is more than just an espionage novel. There is a level of character development, even in the "throw-away scenes" which makes the narrative interesting. This shows a strong attention to detail that the author has, and it makes the book much more compelling. Erika Mitchell is a fascinating young writer who has a strong narrative voice and a knack for how to write intense action sequences. I can't wait to read more of her work!
This book is outside of my normal genre, but I loved it! Erika Mitchell is a good illustrative writer. The plot develops at a nice pace that kept this reader engaged to the end. The dialogue feels real, never cliche or forced. The characters feel like real people, with real problems. The twist at the end was unexpected, but natural. It didn't leave this reader feeling duped!
I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an action-packed read with good, consistent writing.
Terrorists are much in the news, lately and always, sad to say. Blood Money takes a new and penetrating look into this dark world, putting human faces on many without excusing any of their actions. Courage and cowardice are found in unexpected locales throughout this tale, and the people who daily risk their lives to protect our society from this ongoing threat are portrayed with wit, insight, and compassion. A fast, engaging, and suspenseful read. Worth your time.
