The course of true love never did run smooth. The biker and the Anarchist. It's never going to be a fairytale romance, and yet...

Mouse believes in something bigger than herself. She believes in standing up for what's right. She believes in battling against corruption, consumerism, commercialism and greedy corporations. She believes in fighting hard. Her whole life has been about fighting.

Nitro has returned to the country of his birth to escape his crazy ex. He lives for the moment. He's a simple guy; a fast bike, cold beer, and a warm woman are all he needs. Life is one big party; all you need to do is rev the throttle and see where the road takes you.

They say opposites attract, and for Mouse and Nitro, that couldn't be more true. Their chosen families are poles apart. But Nitro has fallen hard, and he's not the type of guy who takes no for an answer...

The events in Itinerant Child run parallel to those in Legacy, and some of the characters do make an appearance. However, this can be read as a stand alone.

Itinerant Child Freaks MC England edition by SARAH OSBORNE Literature Fiction eBooks

They say opposites attract but not how they manage to stay together. Mouse and Nitro’s names are two you wouldn’t pair up, and yet together it’s obvious they are meant to be together. The majority of the book , though, they spend getting their head around how to juggle opposing lifestyles and somehow continue to build a relationship. Both are passionately determined people neither being open to change but with a connection that is a force in itself. The more they get to know each other, the more they feel incomplete apart.

Nitro and Mouse have a hurdle or two between them becoming a couple. The different lifestyles they lead together with the baggage they both carry from their past. Mouse’s insecurities and fears stifle anything long term. Fortunately, Nitro distracted her in a good way with his joking and indifference to anything other than what was important to her.

Putting aside the barriers Mouse and Nitro experienced, the story manages to incorporate a lot of light hearted moments and bring to light to the similarities they shared. Finding their place in the world and doing so as a couple was what made their story work. What was interesting was the way their friends / chosen families supported and guided them along the way.

A bonus to this story was having Nitro’s POV to the events that occurred in Legacy. Both Legacy and Itinerant run parallel to each other time wise but are located in separate countries. There is a lapse where Nitro returns to the States and spends time with The Freaks to represent the UK chapter at a brother’s funeral.

I Thoroughly enjoyed Itinerant and getting to know Mouse and Nitro. The epilogue was OK, but it had a wrap-up air to it, or maybe I just wanted to read more. Either way, this is one of my favourite series with each book being 4 or 5 stars!

Itinerant Child Freaks MC England edition by SARAH OSBORNE Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Sarah Osborne writes compelling characters. The development of her heroes and heroines and the distinct individuality all of them possess continually surprise and engage me. Itinerant Child tells the story of two people highly unlikely to cross paths let alone fall for each other. One - a woman of resolute values and morals who’s a bit uptight and unforgiving standing in the trenches fighting for what she believes. Two – a light-hearted, easy going biker who smiles a lot, loves immediately, and takes life one day at a time. As usual, Osbornes writing expertly tells this very character-centric story.

There’s a lot of back forth with Mouse’s feelings from beginning to end and it was a story device that frustrated me in an appealing way. Her tendency to act first, think later was always justified and understandable as her inner monologues and up-front attitude were based in total honesty. Her life was very controlled in the environment of her choosing. Nitro’s feelings were abrupt and unyielding. Not your typical alpha biker, he saw something in Mouse he had never seen any other woman before. The two of them together were smart, compassionate, and a total disaster because of the conflicting feelings their hold on each other brought. It was a very interesting character dynamic Osborne created and made for fun reading time.

The plot of the story sometimes got lost in the back and forth nature of Nitro and Mouse’s romance. It at times became tedious for me however the love story always kept me captivated. Meeting the secondary characters who played integral parts in each of their lives enhanced the story when the plot seems to get lost.

Bikers and the women they love written by Freak Circle Press authors are my most favorite kind of love stories. Also, with cameos from past characters that I love we get a different perspective on the events of Sarah’s previous Freak books. With this one, Sarah Osborne found a way to brilliantly hook two people to each other you would never think could find love with the other. Thanks to her writing and the romance of the characters Itinerant Child was a very enjoyable romance.
an unusual biker storyline but well developed character and plot. enjoyed this series.
I love the writing style of this author. She combines the right amount of grit and romance. A mc romance definitely should not be light and fluffy. One of my favorite series that is an instant buy for me.
This book was entertaining and I liked Nitro and Mouse but when you consider the series as a whole, they seemed like an unlikely couple to write about. I did find them interesting though and the fact that it was set in England, surprisingly, didn't bother me. I do think the ending was a little strange but overall, it was good and it keeps the Freaks storyline going.
Another fantastic biker story by Sarah Osborne. She’s one of my favorite authors when it comes to MC stories because the characters she creates feel so real, so human.

This time around she takes us to beautiful England where Nitro, a gorgeous biker who is British but grew up in America is back to the motherland, trying to escape his crazy ex-wife. He meets Mouse in one of the club’s run, a woman who lives her life fighting and surviving. She’s a wonderer, a woman who stands up and fights against cruelty, big corporations and injustice.

These two are total opposites, she’s a feminist who lives off the land, him, a macho biker who falls in love too easily. Well, it turns out that as these two are so different, they might be the only people who actually get each other. Some way, some how, they understand one another and their love will be volatile and also indestructible.

I loved everything about this book and of course I couldn’t put it down, not even for one second. I was allured, and transported inside the fascinating pages of this winner of an MC story. And I’m going for more... se you on the next book.
